FAQS

Common Questions, Answered

How often should I service my HVAC system?

We recommend servicing your HVAC system twice a year—once in the spring for cooling and once in the fall for heating. This helps maintain efficiency, prevents costly breakdowns, and ensures your system runs smoothly all year long.  But don’t stress about trying to remember…we’ve got you covered with our Sentinel Thermostat monitoring or one of our annual maintenance plans.

Why do my lights flicker or dim when I turn on an appliance?

This could be caused by overloaded circuits, loose wiring, or an electrical panel that’s due for an upgrade. Flickering lights can be a warning sign of a more serious issue, so it’s best to have our licensed electricians inspect your system as soon as possible.

What should I do if I have low water pressure in my home or business?

Low water pressure can be caused by mineral buildup, leaks, or issues with your municipal supply. Our plumbers can diagnose the cause, clean or replace clogged pipes, and make sure your plumbing is functioning at peak performance.

How can I improve my home’s energy efficiency?

You can improve efficiency by:

  • Sealing air leaks and insulating ductwork

  • Upgrading to a smart thermostat

  • Replacing old appliances with ENERGY STAR® models
Our HVAC, electrical, and plumbing teams can work together to recommend solutions tailored to your home or business.

Is it better to repair or replace an older system?

If your HVAC, electrical panel, or plumbing fixtures are over 10–15 years old, require frequent repairs, or are no longer meeting your needs, replacement may be the better long-term investment. We provide honest assessments to help you make the most cost-effective decision.
